 Retirement Incentives
Important:
The deadline for retirement incentives has been extended through July.
Please check with HR for the exact date.

The Retirement and Transfer Incentives were designed to help the board reduce personnel costs by offering an incentive for retirement.  This would reduce the number of staff by attrition, therefore cutting down on the number of jobs needing to be cut in. This exit of a large number of retiring personnel may also lead to many vacancies of critical positions throughout the system that must be filled; therefore, the transfer incentive would allow the system to fill those positions from within the county and would improve the equitable staffing of critical positions.
