2/18/09- Update:
The bus area has been cleared and the limestone has been laid which will keep the brush from returning! Thank you!!

11/29/08- UPDATE: Brush Near Bus Parking at GSMS
The area was cleared several weeks ago compliments of the City of Gulf Shores Streets and Maintenance Dept. THANK YOU!  As a long term solution to this issue, the city has discussed clearing the entire area and laying limestone.

10/19/08- Brush Near Bus Parking at GSMS
       A Representative of the Bus Drivers has pointed out that the grassy area near the bus parking at GSMS is overgrown and that there are often "creatures" in that area when entering the buses. Mr. Carpenter spoke to a city official in order to get this cut back last year. I have asked him to take care of this for us, however, the city has still not responded. I spoke to Ernie Smith last week, but have not gotten any further response from that conversation to date. I WILL find the correct contact THIS WEEK and will make sure that the cutting of this area is regularly scheduled in the future. Updates will be available this week.

10/19/08- Age of Buses
        The question has also come up regarding the proper turning of bus inventory and the disbursement of new buses to particular schools. I will speak to Mrs. Dawson to find out what the schedule is and what the formula is for distributing new school buses to the schools.
